The Rain Gutter Regatta is a spring event that is hosted by our Tigers.  This is a really simple event that is a lot of fun for the boys.  The Scouts receive a kit with all the components (similar to Space Derby rockets and Pinewood Derby cars).  The can easily put it together and then can get as creative as they wish to create their own regatta ship.

Racing is done in a gutter filled with water.  The power comes from YOU!  Scouts are given a single straw in which they need to supply the air power needed to race their boat.  This is one time when being “filled with a lot of hot air” is a good thing.
